Elliot Hayes is vice president of the Direct Investments Group at AIG Global Investment Group in New York. He joined AIG’s Global Investment Group in 2000 and is responsible for sourcing, managing, and executing private equity and mezzanine debt transactions, and maintaining intermediary and sponsor relationships.

Hayes previously served as a research analyst and assistant to AIGGIG’s chief executive officer, a role in which he assisted in internal asset management activities, merger and acquisition analysis and integration, and general business development activities. His investment, corporate finance and general management experience began in 1994. Prior to joining AIGGIG, he worked at the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund as a senior investment associate. Hayes previously worked as an analyst in the Media and Telecommunications Group at Chemical Securities (now JP Morgan).

He received a BS in finance from Boston College and an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
